As Director of Educator and Collegian Programs, Erin (she/her) helps develop and retain educators and college students through several New Memphis initiatives.  She facilitates the Stride program to provide the support early-career teachers need to thrive as educators, while also offering social and community engagement that enhance their affection for and commitment to Memphis.  Additionally, she spearheads our Teachers' Lounge and Principal Booster Shot series for pre-K through 12th grade teachers and school leaders, respectively, and organizes the annual Educators of Excellence awards and Teacher Appreciation week celebrations.

Erin guides the strategy of Accelerate and Launch: Campus to Career, collegiate programs that offers college students the skills and networks necessary to launch successful careers in Memphis.

An Illinois native, Erin chose Memphis through Teach For America after graduating from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. Erin continued to choose Memphis beyond her corps commitment and has happily called Memphis home since 2012. She brings experience in the education sector to New Memphis after serving students and teachers in our city in several capacities: as an English I teacher, a grade level chair, an MTR Mentor, a RELAY resident adviser, and a Dean of Academics.

When she’s not empowering teachers and college students and helping them also fall in love with Memphis, she enjoys reading, trying new restaurants, and winning trivia nights.
