School Spruce Up

IMG 2086

New Memphis is excited to lend a hand to ensure our community thrives. On Thursday, March 28th, we will meet for our annual day of service and community building, but we need your help! Join your New Memphis friends and alumni for an afternoon of service at local schools. We will all roll up our sleeves to help make a few of Memphis' schools look a little brighter so our city’s kids can learn a little easier.

Everyone will meet at Promise Academy-Hollywood for check-in and a quick bite between 5 and 5:30 p.m. Need to pick up your kids after work? Great, bring them with you! Won't have time for supper? No problem, we'll have pizza before we get started. From there, volunteers will be divided into groups and assigned tasks at our two school sites set to receive some sprucing up -- Promise Academy-Hollywood and KIPP Memphis Academy Elementary.

Help us make this year's day of service have the biggest impact yet! This event is open to family, including kids. We’ll provide refreshments and pizza, and we guarantee you’ll leave knowing you’ve made a tangible difference in the lives of Memphis students. What better way to put your love of Memphis into action?

Good, honest work can get a little messy, so please wear close-toed shoes and clothes that can handle a little dirt or paint.
